CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL HOSTS BRILLIANT YOUTH PARLIAMENT
Cambridge School Greater Noida held the fourth edition of its prestigious annual Youth Parliament ‘SAMVAD 2019’ in the school premises on 15th and 16th October 2019. This year, the conference brought together 160 student delegates from 10 schools across the NCR with the intent of developing in them leadership qualities of intellectual depth and communication dexterity in the true spirit of democracy and integrity.
The magic of SAMVAD prevailed through committees such as Lok Sabha, All India Political Parties Meet and Stakeholder’s Meet which focused on the following agendas – ‘New Education Policy 2019’, ‘National Security Policy, with emphasis on cross border terrorism’, and ‘Agrarian crisis and Food Security in India’ respectively.
Intense debate prevailed in each of the committees. The knowledgeable and impassioned young delegates came up with innovative ideas to deal with the different agendas.
At the Valedictory Function, Mr. Anil Trigunayat, former Ambassador of India, and Mr Martin Via, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Argentina’s Embassy in New Delhi conferred prizes to the winning delegates and motivated all the participants to build a better nation by becoming responsible citizens of the country.
Esteemed members of the Cambridge School management Mrs. Veena Sirohi, Mrs Neeru Biswas, Mr M.M. Sharma and Mr Indranil Gupta added dignity and encouragement to the forum with their presence.
School Principal Dr. Rekha Bhushan thanked the guests and appreciated the efforts of all participants and the very dedicated school faculty.

His Excellency Mr. Daniel Chuburu – Ambassador of Argentina who was the Chief Guest, encouraged all students to be politically conscious citizens of the country. He urged them to have a clear understanding of the functioning of the government, to be able to lead the country on the path of betterment.





Eminent keynote speakers who graced the event were Major General G.D. Bakshi SM, VSM; Mr Maneesh Garg, Joint Secretary in HRD Ministry, Dr. Shakila Shamshu, OSD, MHRD, and award-winning journalist Ms. Gargi Parsai. They enlightened the young minds about cross-border terrorism concerns, the emergent new education policy and realities of the agrarian crisis affecting our farm sector.
